Hakan Doğan comes from a family of bakers for four generations, and is himself a baker and owns a bakery named “Pasto Bursa” in Bursa, Turkey. A firm believer that bread holds valuable cultural and historical information about where it’s made, Hakan has written several books on breadmaking and pastries, and his first book, “Ekşi Mayalı Ekmekler” (Sourdough Breads), has won the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
