Muuuse-um Trips!: An Art Activity for Kids
Duru Bebekoğlu, a Fine Art student at Central Saint Martins, will curate museum trips for groups of 6-8 kids aged between 5-12. The groups will visit a museum in London (The National Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum and Tate Modern) each Saturday for a duration of 4 weeks and learn about a variety of new and exciting subjects.
The Victoria and Albert Museum trip will focus on the works of Rodin and patterns of Asia and the Middle East. The children will encounter Rodin’s various sculptures upon entering the museum and will be encouraged to ask questions about Rodin as a sculptor. With the inspiration from these sculptures, they will create sketches of the people who left an impression, perhaps someone else on the trip.
They will then be guided to look at the Ancient world of art from multiple backgrounds with a focus on Asia and the Middle East. The children will be encouraged to imitate the patterns they see and to create color combinations and patterns of their own imagination after observing these artifacts firsthand.
Muuuse-um Trips are perfect for curious young minds with an interest in art, learning and creativity!
We will be providing all the materials.
