A very special part of the evening will feature the powerful voices of female Turkish singers who will perform entertaining swinging tunes during this concert. Each singer will share their own spin on classical jazz songs and standards with their unique and intriguing style, giving the songs a transcultural feeling that will take you on a journey to the land of Anatolia.
Sezin Angelova
London-based songwriter and an emerging artist, Sezin Angelova likes to sing fragments that will come together in a certain way to create a language of emotional or intellectual intensity. She blends the soundscapes that are uncovered from the layers of her diverse background from Istanbul to London. With the unique and glossy patterns of her voice, Sezin mixes various influences into a modern musical appreciation which can be simply described as a thin slice of music-nouveau.

Sibel Demir
Sibel Demir is a jazz singer inspired by the genre’s collective power, got swept away by the lure of it while she was studying to become an opera singer. Her unique and versatile vocal presence, dramatic flare and excellent stage figure make her a mesmerizing performer on any stage. By combining her diverse musical background with her adventurous singing style, she promises a rich musical journey not to be missed. For Demir, people in a jazz band unite around music and become equals.

Dolunay Obruk
Dolunay Obruk is an Art Council-approved Global Talent Turkish singer-songwriter, based in London. Her music style is a unique and entertaining combination of her songs along with classical jazz pieces and traditional Turkish folk songs performed in her unique jazzy way. Her colourful and unique music style directly transfers to any stage as an highly interactive and engaging theatrical performance. She has several music albums and singles released. She is currently doing workshops, and projects on using vocal techniques for mental health and well-being.
